If that seems like a silly endeavor, you might be right. But it sure is fun.

The column will be published online Friday night and, space permitting, in the print editions on Saturday.

It seems a fitting way to exit The N-H, which I am leaving after 13 years for a position as assistant editor at Crain's Cleveland Business.

It was time for a new challenge, which, like taking Trent Richardson in the first round next September, can be scary.

This is the 375th post in this blog's history, and I've thoroughly enjoyed interacting with many of you via email and Twitter.

Fantasy sports can be extremely frustrating -- did you play against Bryce Brown in Week 12 or 13? How about the Seahawks' defense against the Ryan Lindley-John Skelton platter in Week 14? -- but they're also an escape.

They allow us to be the general manager, coach, team president and frustrated fan.

They add to the television viewing experience -- and at times, take away from it.

But they never stop entertaining.

Hopefully, this blog provided you many of those same emotions -- minus the Lindley-Skelton anger.

Good luck, and start a defense against Arizona until further notice.News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-70770119019196996802012-12-18T19:18:00.002-05:002012-12-18T19:19:30.310-05:00Fantasy football: Week 16 waiver-wire picksIt's championship week in fantasy.

If you have made it this far, you likely need a waiver-wire acquisition as much as Brandon Weeden needs another two-interception game.

If you play in a 16-team league and are hoping to find a flex starter -- which is one of the few scenarios I can imagine in which a league finalist would be searching for a starter at this point in the season -- there could be an intriguing choice at running back in Week 16.

It's a risky move -- Curtis Brinkley, anyone? -- but running back has been such a crapshoot this season (see Brown, Bryce; Mathews, Ryan and countless other examples) that nothing would surprise me.

Mathews' season ended the way it started -- with a broken clavicle -- which will sideline the Chargers running back and one of the season's biggest busts for the final two games.

Enter Brinkley, who had six carries for 42 yards and caught three passes for 14 yards last week.

Don't get too excited. Brinkley has averaged 3.2 yards per carry and has 214 yards rushing in his three-year career.

The matchup, however, is favorable -- at the Jets -- as is the fact Ronnie Brown (hamstring) is also injured.

If Brown returns this week, he is the best play among San Diego's running backs, but the guess here is he won't be a factor because of his injury.

Jackie Battle, who has four TDs this season and would have seemed to be the choice to replace Mathews, had only three carries for 2 yards last week.

Norv Turner appears to favor Brinkley. Or maybe the soon-to-be-fired coach was confused and thought Battle was in the game the entire time.

Regardless, Brinkley is our top-ranked running back this week, thanks in part to the Jets ranking 29th against the run. New York is allowing 138.7 rushing yards per contest, 4.5 yards per carry and has given up the fifth-most TDs on the ground (15).

Again, Brinkley is no more than a desperation flex play in a deep league. If that describes your team, I'd go with him unless Brown is said to be healthy heading into Sunday's game.

On to our rankings for the week.

In his last two games, he has 14 receptions for 202 yards and one touchdown.

He has five TDs in his last nine contests.

In the latter span, he has 35 catches for 639 yards and five TDs -- a 16-game pace of 62 receptions for 1,136 yards and nine scores.

All of which isn't to hammer home the point Tom Heckert shouldn't lose his job to Mike Lombardi (of course he shouldn't), but to say Josh Gordon is a fantasy starter.

Yes, your Cleveland Browns have a fantasy starter other than Trent Richardson and Phil Dawson.

On draft day, you would be elated if I told you your No. 3 fantasy receiver would finish the season with more than 60 catches, more than 1,100 yards and end the campaign with nine TDs.

That's how productive Gordon has been since Week 5, which makes it puzzling he is available in more than 62 percent of the leagues on ESPN.com.

If you play in a league in Northeast Ohio, there is very little chance Gordon is available on the waiver wire.

If you were fortunate enough to claim him in past weeks, play him as your third receiver.

If you're reading this in Pennsylvania, New York or somewhere else -- I hear this blog is huge in Australia -- put in a claim on Gordon today.

The bragging rights, the cash, the women. Too many to count, really.

One edge that might not come to mind: Getting a gem on the waiver wire.

If you will be playing in your league's final four in Week 15, there is obviously much less competition for players. And with Giants running back David Wilson potentially available, that is a very good thing.

Wilson, a rookie drafted with the final pick of the first round by the Giants last spring, was a player many of us expected to have an impact in fantasy this season.

Wilson made us wait 14 weeks for said impact, which meant many owners had already dropped him -- he is available in almost 60 percent of the leagues on ESPN.com.

If you need help at the flex position or are looking for a third running back in Week 15, Wilson could be an excellent choice.

He rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries Sunday against the Saints. He also returned a kickoff 97 yards for a score and had 327 all-purpose yards.

Wilson received more work than expected because of a knee injury suffered by Ahmad Bradshaw. The latter left the game with the ailment, but later returned. Monday, Bradshaw had tests done on the knee.

If it's announced Bradshaw will miss time, Wilson is a must-start this week against at Atlanta, which is tied for 23rd defending the run and has allowed 14 rushing touchdowns.

In Week 16, the Giants will play at Baltimore, which also struggles against the run (No. 25).

Even if Bradshaw plays, Wilson should get a decent amount of touches as a change-of-pace back. Because of his excellence as a returner, he likely won't get 20 to 25 carries, but as he displayed Sunday, he is in the C.J. Spiller mold -- sometimes 15 attempts is all it takes.News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-7370086365036381982012-12-04T20:05:00.002-05:002012-12-04T20:06:28.866-05:00Fantasy football: Week 14 waiver-wire picksRobert Griffin III and Andrew Luck get the accolades, and deservedly so, for their phenomenal, somewhat unprecedented rookie seasons.

Often lost in the discussion is Seahawks rookie QB Russell Wilson, whose 95 rating is better than Luck's 76. Wilson also has thrown for more touchdowns than Luck (19 to 17) and has been picked off eight fewer times (eight, to Luck's 16).

I'm not saying Wilson is better than Luck, who is on pace to throw for 4,795 yards and has added five TDs on the ground.

I'm saying Wilson should be owned in far more than 17.8 percent of the ESPN leagues, and he is a decent starting option in deeper leagues.

If you've made your league's postseason, which likely begins this week, you probably don't need a QB.

If you do and Wilson is available, here are two numbers to consider: nine and zero, as in the number of touchdown passes and interceptions for the Seattle QB in his last four games.

In his last five contests, Wilson has thrown for 1,114 yards, 11 TDs and one interception.

This week, the Seahawks will play the Cardinals, who rank third against the pass and have more interceptions (18) than TD passes allowed (16). On paper, or your iPhone, the matchup might not look great, but I wouldn't worry about Wilson suddenly turning into Seneca Wallace.

In Week 15, Seattle will play at Buffalo, which is No. 13 vs. the pass but has given up 21 TD tosses, compared to 10 picks.

There are two more rookies in our top five at QB this week -- the Browns' Brandon Weeden and the Eagles' Nick Foles -- but Wilson is clearly the best option.

The Eagles' rookie running back has rushed for 347 yards and four touchdowns in two games in place of LeSean McCoy. He has averaged 8.1 yards per carry the last two weeks, and he's been remarkably explosive (at least 169 yards rushing in each game, with two TDs and four catches in each contest).

What you might not realize is Brown was regarded as the nation's No. 2 running back recruit in 2009. The consensus No. 1: Trent Richardson.

Brown rushed for 460 yards as a freshman at Tennessee in 2009, sat out the 2010 season after transferring to Kansas State, then had only three carries for 16 yards with the Wildcats last September before leaving the program.

The Eagles selected him in the seventh round last spring, and he was largely unknown in fantasy until McCoy suffered a concussion.

Monday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported McCoy is in Phase 3 of his recovery, but considering the Eagles are 3-9, Coach Andy Reid is on his way out and Nick Foles will be the starting quarterback the rest of the season, would you be surprised if Philly rests McCoy for another week or two and sees what it has in Brown?

If you own McCoy and not Brown and have a fantasy playoff game this week, I wouldn't feel good about my chances of having the former in my starting lineup in Week 14.

If you have Brown, you have to continue to play him, obviously, until McCoy returns. Once Shady is back, Brown has to go back to your bench -- remember, it has been difficult enough for McCoy to get enough carries with Reid calling the plays, let alone dividing carries between two electric backs.

If you own McCoy in a keeper league, don't fret.

McCoy is 24, was signed to a five-year, $45 million contract extension in May, and he rushed for 1,309 yards, averaged 4.8 yards per carry, scored 20 total touchdowns and caught 48 passes for 315 yards last season.

He's not going anywhere.

This season is another matter.

Nothing the Eagles do from this point on would surprise us.

You should expect McCoy to be in your lineup in time for at least the fantasy semifinals next week.

You should also be prepared to be without him.

If you own Brown and not McCoy, two stats might cool your enthusiasm about the rookie: He has lost three fumbles the last two weeks (causing Reid's mustache considerable stress), and the Eagles face the league's No. 1 (the Bucs on Sunday) and No. 3 (the Redskins in Week 16) run defenses the next three weeks.

Continue to play Brown until McCoy returns, and continue to expect the unexpected in Reid's final days in Philly.News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-46445477969947003622012-11-27T19:21:00.001-05:002012-11-27T19:22:20.119-05:00Fantasy football: Week 13 waiver-wire picksBy now, you know Eagles rookie Bryce Brown rushed for 178 yards and two touchdowns in place of LeSean McCoy on Monday night.

He also swung the result in some fantasy games, albeit the few in which owners were bold (or desperate?) enough to start him. (Was I the only one who was eliminated from postseason contention by a player I had never heard of prior to the announcement that McCoy had a concussion?)

This week, McCoy is expected to sit again, giving owners looking for running back help a second start from Brown, who was selected by Philadelphia in the seventh round in 2012.

The Eagles' Week 13 opponent, the Cowboys, rank 13th against the run, but after Brown looked so electric on Monday night, I wouldn't hesitate to start him if you're in need of a flex play in a deeper league.

Another interesting waiver-wire choice at running back, the Broncos' Knowshon Moreno, was mentioned in this space Monday. I value him ahead of Brown because Moreno should get the bulk of the carries the rest of the season, and Brown likely won't have much of a role after this week.

First, the then-Panthers coach got some productive years out of Jake Delhomme.

Next, he completely revamped his Broncos offense on the fly in 2011, switched to Tim Tebow at quarterback and won a playoff game -- on an 80-yard Tebow pass ... in overtime ... against the Steelers.

For his next act, Fox, after an injury landed running back Willis McGahee on injured reserve, led all of us to believe Ronnie Hillman and Lance Ball would get the bulk of the carries for his playoff-bound team.

In the hours leading up to kickoff Sunday, however, Twitter was nice enough to inform us fantasy freaks that it would be Knowshon Moreno -- who had been inactive for every game since Week 2 -- as Denver's starting back against the Chiefs.

Moreno responded by rushing for 85 yards on 20 carries and catching four passes for 26 yards.

It was a rare case in which you could have acquired a starting running on the waiver wire -- on Sunday afternoon just before kickoff.

Moreno, likely because many owners weren't aware of the news until it was too late, is still available in more than 95 percent of the leagues on ESPN.com.

If he can be had in your league and you're still in the playoff chase as the final week of the regular season in most leagues commences this week, make a claim for the player the Broncos drafted 12th overall in 2009.

Prior to Sunday, Moreno had eight carries for 15 yards this season. In the last two seasons, he has played in a combined 10 games.

All of which might make us forget he was decent in 2009 and '10, when he rushed for a combined 1,726 yards and 12 touchdowns in 29 games. In that span, he also caught 65 passes for 585 yards and five scores.

That's a 16-game pace of 1,275 total yards, 36 receptions and nine total TDs.

Moreno likely won't wow you the rest of the way, but he should be a decent flex play or a low-level No. 2 running back, especially in Weeks 14, 15 and 16.

This week, Denver will play Tampa Bay, the league's leading run defense at 81.5 yards per game. The Bucs are allowing 3.4 yards per carry.

In the following three weeks, Moreno will face defenses ranked 28th (Oakland in Week 14), 26th (Baltimore in Week 15) and 19th (the Browns in Week 16) against the run. The Raiders have given up the second-most rushing TDs (15), and the Ravens and Browns have allowed a combined 19 rushing TDs in 22 games.

Unless Fox decides to fool us again, you should expect Moreno to get the bulk of the carries the rest of the season (Hillman had three rushing attempts on Sunday), which automatically makes him a flex-play candidate in any league.

Two starting running backs available in almost any league that has fewer than 16 teams?

It's like Christmas in November!

Now that we've got your hopes a little too high, this week's top picks are ...

Ronnie Hillman and Jalen Parmele.

What, you were expecting a healthy Maurice Jones-Drew and the fantasy stud formerly known as Steven Jackson?

All sarcasm aside, the Broncos' Hillman is a decent choice with running back Willis McGahee out 4 to 8 weeks with a torn right MCL and a fractured bone in his leg.

Hillman had 12 carries for 43 yards and two receptions for 16 yards last week, and the 2012 third-round pick is averaging 3.8 yards per carry and has 10 catches on the year.

That won't wow you, but the Broncos' upcoming schedule might. In the next five weeks (the last five weeks of most fantasy seasons), Denver will face four defenses ranked 23rd or worse against the run -- Kansas City (No. 25, this week), Oakland (No. 23, Week 14), Baltimore (No. 27, Week 15) and the Browns (No. 24, Week 16).

If you're making a playoff push and need a second running back or, better yet, hope to acquire depth to go with two solid starters in the backfied, Hillman is an intriguing choice.

He might split some carries with Lance Ball, but I'd give the former a big edge on the latter, who has one rushing touchdown in 37 career games.

Another name to watch is Parmele, who has taken over as the Jaguars' featured back after Jacksonville grew tired of Rashad Jennings and his 2.9 yards per carry.

Parmele didn't exactly race past Jennings' season average last week against the Texans (24 carries for 80 yards, 3.3 yards per carry, three receptions for 3 yards), but keep in mind Houston is second in the league against the run and is allowing only 85.6 rushing yards per contest.

Jones-Drew is expected to miss at least another week with a foot injury, giving Parmele the start this week against the Titans, who rank 28th vs. the run with an average of 132.8 rushing yards allowed per game. Tennessee has given up nine rushing TDs.

Before we get to this week's rankings, two more quick thoughts:

-- Eagles running back Bryce Brown, a seventh-round draft choice in 2012, would get the start Monday night against Carolina (No. 20 vs. the run) if LeSean McCoy is sidelined with a concussion. The early indications are McCoy will play this week, which makes Brown an ideal add for owners of the player Andy Reid seems to enjoy underutilizing.

-- If you are among the many who lost Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski to a broken forearm, we have two names for you: Brandon Myers and Dwayne Allen. Somehow, Myers is available in more than 85 percent of the ESPN leagues, though he has been long gone in every 12-team league in which I compete. Allen, meanwhile, has been very good for the Colts in place of the injured Coby Fleener.

As always, we rank players who are available in more than half of the ESPN leagues, and we usually aim for 40 percent ownership or lower.

Your league's standings are updated.

You set your lineup for the coming week.

Better yet, it's time to browse the waiver wire and look for help.

This week, the latter is about as exciting as any contrived debate involving Skip Bayless.

Most of the quality options have been picked up, and there aren't many recent, significant injuries aside from the quarterbacks. (If Ben Roethlisberger's shoulder injury has you interested in Byron Leftwich, you are a much more optimistic person than me. In fact, you might be a little crazy.)

Thus, before we get to our picks for the week, we'd like to remind you that Beanie Wells returned to practice for the Cardinals last week.

He isn't included in the rankings below because he is owned in 47.9 percent of the leagues on ESPN.com (we prefer to go lower than that), but Wells remains a somewhat-sneaky acquisition in some formats.

He is on the injured reserve/designated to return list because of a toe injury, but he is expected to be back next week.

Yes, he's an injury waiting to happen (a total of 30 games played the last three seasons), but he was productive at times in 2011 (1,047 yards rushing, 4.3 yards per carry, 10 touchdowns), and he should assume the featured role in Arizona's LaRod Stephens-Howling-led backfield upon his return.

Aside from Raiders point-per-reception machine Marcel Reese, there isn't a better option among the running backs in the rankings that follow.

Have I mentioned the rankings include Tim Tebow? Let's say the QB options are a little scarce. (Jason Campbell, anyone?)

QUARTERBACKS
1. Russell Wilson, Seahawks (owned in 17.2 percent of the ESPN leagues)

Anyway, we're back, only with an altered format.

For this week, since we have been ranking many of the same players each week, we will highlight our top three waiver-wire selections, followed by some honorable mentions.

As always, we only select players who are available in more than half of the leagues on ESPN.com, and we usually go with players who can be had in at least 60 percent of the ESPN formats.

Marcel Reese, RB, Raiders (owned in 0.2 percent of the ESPN leagues): To no one's surprise, Darren McFadden is injured. This time, it's the dreaded high ankle sprain. McFadden's backup, Mike Goodson, has the same injury, which could lead to the combination of Reese and Taiwan Jones sharing carries in Oakland's backfield Sunday at Baltimore.

Reese is a better option than Jones, a second-year pro who has one carry this season. Reese also has one carry in 2012, but he is a threat in the passing game. The latter had eight receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown last week, and he is a decent start this week in point-per-reception formats. In standard leagues, consider Reese a flex play who can be a decent No. 2 running back -- but only if both McFadden and Goodson are out.

Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Steelers (1.6 percent): Like Reese, Sanders is being considered because of an injury. Steelers receiver Antonio Brown is said to have a "mild" ankle sprain.

If Brown is forced to miss Monday's game against the Chiefs, Sanders should be considered a No. 3 receiver in all formats. He had two catches for 20 yards and a touchdown last week, and the Chiefs have allowed the third-most TD passes in the league (17).

Brandon Myers, TE, Raiders (7.0 percent): We've been ranking Myers in the top five consistently among free-agent possibilities at tight end, and he has done nothing to make us believe otherwise. Last week, Myers had eight catches for 59 yards and two TDs, and he's had at least five receptions in three of his last four games. He is a starting tight end in deeper leagues, and is even more valuable in PPR formats (Myers is on pace for 78 receptions for 884 yards).

Honorable mention: James Starks, RB, Packers (owned in 5.0 percent of the ESPN formats); LaRod Stephens-Howling, RB, Cardinals (26.9); Joique Bell, RB, Lions (4.7); Dwayne Allen, TE, Colts (1.1); Donnie Avery, WR, Colts (11.7); Chris Ivory, RB, Saints (0.4); Ryan Broyles, WR, Lions (1.3); Cecil Shorts, WR, Jaguars (18.3); T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts (0.7); Golden Tate, WR, Seahawks (3.7); Dustin Keller, TE, Jets (37.7).News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-36917116712671437122012-10-23T19:25:00.001-04:002012-10-23T19:26:56.481-04:00Fantasy football: Week 8 waiver-wire picksBefore we get to this week's waiver-wire picks, two quick notes:

-- Lions receiver Titus Young is owned in 51.2 percent of the leagues on ESPN.com, a number that is too high for the rankings below. Regardless, Young should be considered a decent flex option in point-per-reception leagues after Nate Burleson broke his leg in Detroit's 13-7 loss to the Bears on Monday night.

In that game, Young had six receptions for 81 yards, and he should get quite a few targets with Burleson out. Detroit has 277 pass attempts, compared to 146 rushes, which also doesn't hurt Young's chances of making an impact.

-- If you're wondering why we aren't writing more about Rashad Jennings here, we did that late last night.

As always, we only consider players who are available in more than
half of the leagues on ESPN.com, and we like to go much lower than that.

On to the rankings:

QUARTERBACKS
1. Brandon Weeden, Browns (owned in 8.8 percent of the ESPN leagues)
2. Christian Ponder, Vikings (38.1)
3. Ryan Tannehill, Dolphins (5.6)
4. John Skelton, Cardinals (2.4)
5. Mark Sanchez, Jets (20.5)
Dropped out: Russell Wilson, Seahawks; Matt Hasselbeck, Titans
Just missed the cut: Hasselbeck (15.0 percent)
5. Danny Woodhead, Patriots (38.9)
1. Dustin Keller, Jets (16.8 percent)
2. Brandon Myers, Raiders (3.2)
3. Greg Olsen, Panthers (26.3)
4. Joel Dreessen, Broncos (4.5)
5. Coby Fleener, Colts (30.6)
Dropped out: Jermaine Gresham, Bengals (now owned in 53.4 percent of the ESPN leagues)

From 2009 to '11, he averaged 1,440 yards rushing, 11 total touchdowns and 59 receptions for 355 yards per season.

I had all of those numbers in mind when I made a blockbuster trade in The News-Herald fantasy football league prior to Week 5.

Tired of Titans running back Chris Johnson, I dealt CJNoLonger2K and Steelers receiver Mike Wallace for Jones-Drew and Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall.

That weekend, I laughed -- and taunted my opponent on Twitter -- as Mendenhall looked healthy in his first game back from an ACL injury and Johnson turned in another laugher of a performance (15 carries for 24 yards in a loss to the Vikings).

The last two weeks, those laughs have turned to curses, and Week 7 might have marked the death of my season in that league.

Mendenhall didn't play last week because of an Achilles injury, and Sunday, Jones-Drew suffered a left foot injury that will keep him out this week against the Packers -- and possibly much longer.

You probably know Johnson rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns the same day -- adding to my torture -- but what's far more important from a fantasy perspective is the injury to Jones-Drew.

The Jaguars haven't ruled out the possibility Jones-Drew suffered a Lisfranc injury, which could be season-ending.

Regardless, expect to see a mad dash to the waiver wire this morning for Rashad Jennings, who struggled on the ground in place of Jones-Drew on Sunday (21 carries for 44 yards), but did score a touchdown and catch seven passes for 58 yards.

Also expect to read and hear many owners' vows to avoid the next running back who has a prolonged training camp holdout. In 2011, it was CJNoLonger2K. This past summer, it was Jones-Drew.

Jennings, meanwhile, could be a decent No. 2 running back in point-per-reception leagues until, or if, Jones-Drew returns.

His numbers this year aren't impressive (2.6 yards per carry on 34 attempts), but he did average 5.5 yards per carry in the previous season in which he played (2010). That year, with Jones-Drew sitting out the Jaguars' season finale, Jennings rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries and caught four passes for 34 yards. Prior to Sunday, it was the only time in his career in which he received more than 15 carries.

The Jaguars' schedule the next two weeks isn't very favorable -- this Sunday at Green Bay (No. 17 vs. the run, but how much will Jacksonville be running if it is trailing by three touchdowns?) and Week 9 against Detroit (No. 10 vs. the run, one rushing TD allowed).

After that, Jennings could have a run of decent starts. Beginning in Week 10, the Jags face four teams in a five-week span with a ranking of 25th or worse against the run -- Week 10 vs. the Colts (No. 26), Week 12 vs. Titans (No. 25), Week 13 vs. Bills (No. 32) and Week 14 vs. the Jets (No. 30).

He's no Jones-Drew. But you already knew that.

Jennings could be, however, a much-needed source of total yards and receptions for owners who have underperforming or injured stars at running back.

Have I mentioned that in the N-H league, Jennings was drafted -- and kept all season, even though he had five carries in his last four games prior to Sunday? And the owner with whom I made the trade now has Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson and a possibly revitalized CJMaybe1.2K?

And I'm supposed to know what I'm doing.

Fortunately for many others, Jennings is available in more than 86 percent of the leagues on ESPN.com. He should be the top target on the waiver wire today.

Even better: You won't have to make a terrible trade to acquire him.News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-62503146247101384922012-10-16T19:25:00.002-04:002012-10-16T19:25:47.913-04:00Fantasy football: Week 7 waiver-wire picksI'm not saying you should start Brandon Weeden this week.

You shouldn't.

Here is what I am saying, er, writing: The Browns' rookie quarterback is on pace to throw for 4,051 yards and 19 touchdowns. In his last two games, he has thrown for 522 yards and four TDs.

Sunday, the Browns will play at the Colts, who rank third against the pass, allowing an average of 201 yards per game, but are tied for 22nd with 10 touchdown passes given up -- in five games.

I'm aware Weeden is a walking turnover -- a league-high 10 interceptions.

I'm aware he might be throwing to Josh Gordon, Ben Watson and The Uncatchables. (Gordon, Watson and The Stonehands? I'm open to suggestions.)

The only reason I'm bringing Weeden up is there are six teams on a bye this week, and four of them have Matt Ryan, Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers and Michael Vick at quarterback. (Or maybe you have Vick or Rivers and are encouraging them to take a week off.)

If you play in a very deep league (say, 16 teams) ... and your starting QB is off ... and you're desperate for a one-week fill-in ... Weeden might not be terrible Sunday.

That's my ringing endorsement.

That brings us to this week's waiver-wire selections. And a reminder: We wrote about Felix Jones -- the top target in many leagues this week -- on Monday. He's not ranked below because he is owned in 51.3 percent of the ESPN leagues -- a number that seems too high.

Sure, the Cowboys' running back was electric at times as a rookie in 2011 -- rushing for 897 yards, catching 26 passes for 183 yards and averaging 5.5 yards per carry and 5.7 yards per touch -- but he also managed only two TDs all season, and he fractured his ankle in Week 13.

You might also remember that he wasn't exactly the most durable running back in Oklahoma history.

That didn't stop many of us from considering Murray a late first-round pick in fantasy.

Now we're left with the possibility of not trusting Murray after he suffered ligament damage in his left foot in Sunday's loss to the Ravens. Prior to getting hurt, Murray was on track to have his best game of the season -- he had 90 rushing yards in the first half at Baltimore.

The Cowboys' website reported Monday that Murray could be out this week and possible longer.

In about 4 1/2 games this season, Murray has rushed for 330 yards, is averaging 4.4 yards per carry and has 17 receptions for 118 yards. The bad: Murray has one TD on 92 touches, and now has all of three TDs in two seasons.

If you own Murray, you have no choice but to hold on to him and hope for the best when he returns.

While owning and hoping, you should also make a bid to acquire Felix Jones via the waiver wire or trade.

Jones is available in almost 49 percent of the leagues on ESPN.com -- a figure that seems low to me, since he isn't on a roster in any of the leagues in which I compete. (OK, that's certainly not scientific, but wouldn't it stand to reason that Jones, who had three carries in Dallas' first four games, would be on the waiver wire in a vast majority of leagues?)

Jones ran for 92 yards on 18 carries Sunday, and he's been productive when given the opportunity in his five-year career.

In a loss to the Giants on Dec. 11, 2011, the game in which Murray broke his ankle, Jones rushed for 106 yards on 16 carries and caught six passes for 31 yards. The next week, Jones had 22 carries for 108 yards and three receptions for 23 yards.

In 2010, Jones rushed for 800 yards and caught 52 passes for 450 yards. In his career, he's averaged 5.1 yards per carry.

The problem, as is the case with Murray, is Jones is injury-prone and out-of-the-end-zone-prone. He had two touchdowns in his otherwise-impressive 2010, and he has 10 TDs in 53 career games.

But you won't be acquiring Jones for anything other than a short-term fix. In that case, he should be a bargain.

Sunday, the Cowboys will play at the Panthers, who rank 23rd against the run. Carolina is allowing an average of 127.4 rushing yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry.

The following week, the Cowboys will play host to the Giants, who rank 16th against the run, a figure that is deceiving since New York is giving up 4.6 yards per carry.

If Murray is out, as expected, this week, Jones should be considered a decent No. 2 running back, especially in point-per-reception leagues -- and especially in Week 7, when six teams are on a bye.

Don't expect Jones to score a couple of touchdowns.

In hindsight, we shouldn't have expected that from Murray, either.News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-55977690810365403152012-10-09T19:06:00.002-04:002012-10-09T19:06:42.580-04:00Fantasy football: Week 6 waiver-wire picksWe didn't expect much from Cedric Benson as the Packers' featured back.

And Ced certainly delivered.

Benson, prior to suffering a foot injury Sunday that could sideline him for at least eight weeks, rushed for 248 yards in five games and averaged 3.5 yards per carry. He caught 14 passes for 97 yards and scored one TD -- a 1-yard run against the Seahawks in the now-infamous Monday night Replacement Referee Bowl on Sept. 24.

With Benson out, running-back needy owners likely will be scrambling to the waiver wire this week, and it's a particularly interesting time to search for a back, since Arizona's Ryan Williams suffered a season-ending shoulder injury last week (we broke down the Cardinals' backfield situation on Monday).

The best Packers running back from a fantasy perspective should be Alex Green, who had nine carries for 55 yards Sunday at Indianapolis.

Green, a third-round draft choice by the Pack in 2011, could be Green Bay's back of the future -- and present.

I wouldn't consider him a No. 2 running back in fantasy, but he is a decent option as a flex play in deeper formats if you're desperate for help. For the time being, Green likely will share carries with James Starks, who might get the start Sunday because of his pass-blocking ability.

Starks -- the Packers' leading rusher in 2011 with 578 yards -- hasn't played this season because of a toe injury, and he scored only one TD on 162 touches, including 29 receptions, last season.

Green is the better long-term choice, and he's the top back in our rankings this week.

Depending on the NFL team, a backup running back might not be owned in your league. And once you get into Week 6, a starting back on the waiver wire -- let me be Captain Obvious for a second -- receives quite a bit of interest.

With that in mind, I researched the Cardinals' situation when it was announced Monday that Ryan Williams -- who was replacing the oft-injured Beanie Wells -- would miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.

What I found was the equivalent of looking for a quality movie and seeing Adam Sandler on every cable channel.

The four Arizona running backs who have recorded carries this season -- Williams, Wells (who is out until at least Week 12 with a toe injury), LaRod Stephens-Howling and William Powell -- have combined for 250 yards on 102 attempts, an average of 2.5 yards per carry. Stephens-Howling and quarterback Kevin Kolb have the Cardinals' only rushing TDs this season (one each).

Only Oakland is averaging fewer than Arizona's 63.4 rushing yards per game.

All of which is why it's been speculated the Cardinals will explore free agents -- Tim Hightower, Joseph Addai, Steve Slaton, Cadillac Williams and Maurice Morris were mentioned in this Arizona Republic blog -- or a trade to fortify their backfield.

Unless they traded for, say, DeAngelo Williams, the Cardinals' options would be free-agent retreads such as Hightower or Addai. Translation: Don't expect much.

If they stay in-house, you probably shouldn't have high hopes, either, but at least there might be a serviceable fantasy choice in Stephens-Howling or Powell.

Of the two, Stephens-Howling would seem to be the best option in fantasy.

In 2010 and '11 with the Cards, Stephens-Howling rushed for a combined 280 yards on 66 carries, a 4.2-yard average, and scored three total touchdowns (one rushing, two receiving). In point-per-reception leagues, he will have the most value -- Stephens-Howling had a combined 29 catches for 345 yards in 2010 and '11.

He has missed the last two games with a hip injury, but is expected to play Sunday against Buffalo.

Powell had a strong preseason in 2012, averaging 5.9 yards per carry and scoring touchdowns in three consecutive games. But he's played in two regular-season games in his career and has all of eight touches (three rushes and five receptions).

The third option being mentioned for the Cardinals at running back is Alfonso Smith, who seems to be the least likely of the trio to have an impact. Smith hasn't had a carry this season, and he averaged 3.4 yards on 30 attempts last season.

If you're desperate and Stephens-Howling seems to be over his hip injury, the latter is at best a flex option this week. As noted in the Arizona Republic blog, Stephens-Howling's 5-foot-7, 185-pound frame probably isn't built for 15 carries or more.

Powell might be worth a roster spot in deep formats, but you shouldn't play him until we have a much better idea how the Cardinals plan to divide the carries -- and if they can manage any semblance of a running game.

An advantage for Stephens-Howling this week: Arizona will play host to Buffalo, which ranks 30th against the run and is allowing an average of 171.8 yards per game on the ground.

The Bills have given up a league-high nine rushing TDs.

We'll be back Tuesday with our weekly waiver-wire picks and break down the Packers' options at running back with Cedric Benson out this week.News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-54431363796368193152012-10-05T00:07:00.001-04:002012-10-05T00:10:49.325-04:00Fantasy football: The new view of Steven JacksonThe Rams' Steven Jackson turned 29 on July 22.

In NFL running back years, that's 65 for you and me. Almost retirement time.

And Jackson has been playing like it.

In five games, counting Thursday's win over the Cardinals, the former fantasy stud has rushed for 271 yards on 77 carries, a 3.5-yard norm. He has yet to score a touchdown, and much more surprisingly, he has only seven receptions for 48 yards.

Jackson not racking up touchdowns is nothing new. He had 16 TDs in 2006, and he has 30 scores in 75 games since (counting Thursday).

Jackson not being a threat in the passing game is a new development.

He has four consecutive seasons with at least 40 catches, and he had 90 receptions for 806 yards in his monstrous 2006 campaign.

This season, he is on pace to rush for 867 yards -- which would end his streak of seven consecutive 1,000-yard seasons -- and catch 22 passes. In St. Louis' last three games, he has three catches.

Part of the reason for his struggles is a groin injury that has hampered him most of the season, but nagging injuries are nothing new for the 6-foot-2, 240-pound back.

To Jackson's credit, he hasn't missed a game this season, and he's played in all but two of 53 contests since 2009.

At some point, however, we realize the current numbers mean much more than Jackson's résumé.

He should be considered a low-level No. 2 running back at best in a 12-team league.

Ideally, he's a No. 3 back you can use as a flex option when bye weeks or injuries have left you short-handed.

Is Jackson near the end?

It's obviously too soon to tell, but this certainly seems to indicate the Rams believe that's the case.News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-78208081974436061142012-10-02T19:34:00.001-04:002012-10-02T19:34:16.305-04:00Fantasy football: Week 5 waiver-wire picksChargers running back Jackie Battle has four touchdowns in as many games this season.

Sunday, he started over much more celebrated backfield mate Ryan Mathews, who has been in Coach Norv Turner's doghouse (and is there a more terrifying place than Norv Turner's doghouse?) because of fumbling problems.
On the season, Battle -- who rushed for 597 yards for the Chiefs last season -- is averaging 5.1 yards per carry. In Week 4, he had 19 touches, produced 81 total yards (42 receiving) and scored a pair of TDs.

That all sounds promising, right?

Yes, until you remember Mathews, despite the temporary benching, rushed for 61 yards on 14 attempts (one fewer carry but 22 more yards than Battle) Sunday, and he will get more of a workload in future weeks as long as he doesn't put the ball on the ground.

It was Mathews whom we all believed was a top-six running back in fantasy before he broke his collarbone in the preseason.

And it was Mathews who ran for 1,091 yards in 14 games, caught 50 passes for 455 yards and had a norm of 4.9 yards per carry last season.

Make no mistake: Mathews will be the guy in the Chargers' backfield. But it might not be as soon as this week, which gives Battle short-term value if you need a starting back because of bye weeks -- and long-term value if you have Mathews and want to add Battle as insurance.

Before we get to this week's waiver-wire picks -- you might have taken a wild guess and determined Battle is No. 1 at running back -- a quick reminder that we discussed the value of Dolphins receiver and former Buckeye Brian Hartline on Monday morning.

As always, we only consider players who are available in more than half of the leagues on ESPN.com, and we like to go much lower than that.

Well, there is a reason for that: The former Ohio State standout missed almost all of training camp because of a calf injury.

When HBO was filming, Hartline wasn't practicing.

He has since answered the question we all had about the Dolphins -- and done so convincingly.

Hartline -- a fourth-round draft choice by Miami in 2009 -- has 25 receptions for 455 yards in four games. That's a 16-game pace of 100 receptions for 1,820 yards.

Sunday, Hartline had a Dolphins-record 253 yards on 12 catches, including an 80-yard score against the Cardinals.

In Weeks 1 and 3, he didn't do much -- a combined four catches for 91 yards and zero TDs.

In Weeks 2 and 4, he was sensational -- a combined 21 catches for 364 yards and one TD.

Is he a spot starter? Should we start him on even-numbered weeks? Should we play him every week and figure there is a 50-50 chance he will be very good?

The simple answers are yes, no and yes.

In point-per-reception leagues, Hartline should be considered a No. 3 receiver. If you play in a league in which yards and touchdowns are all that matter, play the matchup game with Hartline, who isn't a great source of touchdowns (he has five in 44 career games).

If you own Hartline, you likely acquired him on the waiver wire, so you might have three good receivers ahead of him on your roster. If that's the case, play him if the matchup is very favorable and/or one of your top three wideouts is banged up.

Hartline might not be consistent -- most receivers with rookie quarterbacks throwing to them aren't -- but he is a big-play threat. He is averaging 15.9 yards per reception in his career.

Plus, he has an outstanding mustache in this profile picture.

What about Bess?

Believe it or not, the Dolphins have two wide receivers who merit consideration in PPR leagues.

Davone Bess -- who also didn't get much (or any) airtime on "Hard Knocks" -- has 12 catches for 209 yards and two TDs in his last two games.

With Ryan Tannehill averaging 35.8 pass attempts per game, Bess and Hartline could both go over 1,000 yards.

Bess should be considered a fourth receiver in deep PPR leagues. He has yet to score a touchdown this season, and he has only 11 TDs in his five-year career, so he's not much help in standard formats.

Bess' 16-game pace: 80 receptions for 1,188 yards.

Yes, the Dolphins have two receivers on track for 80-plus catches and more than 1,100 yards.

Seriously, go. We'll be here when you get back.

Leshoure's ESPN ownership percentage is a comically low 36.9. It's unlikely he's available in any league with more than 10 teams, but he should be considered a starter in any format.

In his NFL debut last week at Tennessee, the Lions didn't gradually work Leshoure, who was suspended for the first two weeks, into the lineup.

They gave him 30 touches, which produced 134 yards and a touchdown.

Leshoure should be a productive No. 2 running back in fantasy, especially when you consider he plays in an offense that could average 30 points per game.

He's a no-brainer as the top-ranked running back this week, and it should be the last week of the season in which he's available in more half of the ESPN formats.

As always, we only consider players who are owned in fewer than 50 percent of the ESPN leagues, and we try to go much lower than that.

Last week, it was a game of buy and sell analyzing some of the most notable Week 1 performances.

This week: Reassessing how we view certain players, especially as they struggle.

In the column, which was posted online Friday night, I wrote about Chris Johnson, Wes Welker, Larry Fitzgerald and Reggie Bush. Here's a hint: All four shouldn't be viewed as they once were, and for three of the four, that's a bad thing.

Two players I didn't include in the column should be discussed as well -- Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles and Falcons running back Michael Turner.

Charles and Turner have combined for rush for 164 yards and one touchdown in the first two weeks of the season.

Last week, Charles had six carries for 3 yards and caught three passes for 19 yards. On the season, his 90 yards rushing barely lead his team. (Backfield mates Shaun Draughn and Peyton Hillis have rushed for 85 and 82 yards, respectively.)

Charles missed the majority of the second half of Sunday's loss at Buffalo because of a sore left knee, which is a concern after he suffered a torn ACL in the same knee during Week 2 last season.

Prior to the season-ending injury in 2011, Charles was coming off a two-year stretch in which he averaged 1,294 yards rushing, 6.2 yards per attempt, 43 receptions, 383 receiving yards and eight total TDs per season.

He was considered a top-10 running back by some sites entering 2012 (we had him ranked 16th), but any owner who did the same on draft day is regretting that choice.

Our new view of Charles?

He can't be considered elite. Instead, he's a low-end No. 2 running back in most formats, especially with Hillis and Draughn eating into his attempts.

Turner wasn't considered as much of a risk as Charles prior to the season, but we knew his drawbacks.

He would rush for more than 1,200 yards, likely reach double figures in touchdowns -- and be of no help in the receiving department.

In his first three seasons in Atlanta, Turner had 50 rushing touchdowns in 59 games. In 2010 and 2011, his stats were very similar -- 1,371 and 1,340 rushing yards, 12 and 11 rushing TDs, respectively.

Two things we should have considered more strongly: With the electric Julio Jones in the mix, Turner wouldn't be nearly as critical to the Falcons' success, and he turned 30 on Feb. 13, which in running-back circles is celebrated about as feverishly as the big 5-0 would be for you and me.

Turner is averaging 2.6 yards per carry in two games. In the hours following the Falcons' win over the Broncos on Monday night, he was arrested and charged with drunken driving and speeding.

Turner likely won't be suspended for the incident, but his numbers bring into question something else: Are his days as a productive back over?

It's too soon to declare that, but Turner's "new" value is such that I wouldn't consider him a must-start each week.

He's now a mid- to low-end No. 2 running back in deeper formats.

He has that in common with Charles.

One more column hint: They're both still better than "Anger Management."News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-90578644164217665312012-09-18T19:47:00.000-04:002012-09-18T19:47:13.333-04:00Fantasy football: Week 3 waiver-wire picksBefore we get to the top five at each position, let's get to a few quick notes on four players we really like this week:

-- Giants running back Andre Brown could be the featured back Thursday night at Carolina. Starter Ahmad Bradshaw left last week's game against the Buccaneers with a neck injury, and he's questionable for this week.

Since it's a short week for the G-Men, the guess here is Bradshaw will sit, which would make Brown -- not rookie David Wilson -- a decent option as a low-end No. 2 running back in a deep league or as a flex play. Brown had 13 carries for 71 yards and a touchdown against the Bucs, and he caught two passes for 19 yards.

Carolina ranks 28th against the run. The Panthers are allowing 146.5 rushing yards per game and 4.7 yards per attempt.

-- Rams receiver Danny Amendola, as you know by now, is a machine in point-per-reception leagues. Amendola enters this week owned in only 19.2 percent of the ESPN leagues -- a number that should increase to the 90s by tomorrow. Amendola caught 15 passes for 160 yards and a TD last week against the Redskins, and he should be considered an immediate starter in any format. He has a ridiculous 25 targets in two games, and 20 of them have resulted in receptions.

-- Lions running back Mikel Leshoure could be the featured back after Kevin Smith managed just 53 yards on 16 carries Sunday night at San Francisco. Leshoure, a rookie, returns from his two-game suspension this week, and it sounds as if Detroit will waste no time getting him into the flow. Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan told the team's website Leshoure will "definitely be involved heavily in the game plan, and we'll go from there." If you're desperate for help at running back, Leshoure should be considered a No. 3 option in 12-team leagues and a low-end starter in deeper formats.

-- Colts receiver Donnie Avery has received 18 targets in two games, and last week he caught nine passes for 111 yards. Considering Andrew Luck has attempted 76 passes and thrown for 533 yards in two contests, Avery should continue to produce. He's a decent No. 3 receiver in deeper leagues.

On to the rankings. As always, we only consider players who are owned in fewer than 50 percent of the leagues on ESPN.com.

QUARTERBACKS
1. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bills (owned in 42.5 percent of the ESPN leagues)
2. Matt Cassel, Chiefs (32.9)
3. Russell Wilson, Seahawks (16.3)
4. Mark Sanchez, Jets (37.9)
5. Christian Ponder, Vikings (5.0)
Dropped out: Blaine Gabbert, Jaguars
Just missed the cut: Brandon Weeden, Browns (2.1 percent)

RUNNING BACKS
1. Andre Brown, Giants (1.5 percent)
2. Mikel Leshoure, Lions (20.0)

I'm back to cursing.

In two games, the running back who convinced the Titans to reward his holdout with a $56 million contract has 19 carries for 21 yards.

Nineteen carries. Twenty-one yards. Zero touchdowns. An average of 1.1 yards per attempt.

Sunday at San Diego, Johnson had eight carries for 17 yards and caught two passes for 11 yards.

Granted, the Titans have lost to the Patriots and Chargers by the combined score of 72-23, which explains Johnson's norm of 9.5 carries per contest. But the lack of production is still alarming from a player who followed his contract dispute by rushing for 1,047 yards, averaging 4.0 yards per attempt and scoring four touchdowns last season.

Johnson's only value in PPR leagues last season were his 57 receptions for 418 yards.

If you take a look at his 2011 game log, you'll realize 473 of his rushing yards and three of his TDs occurred in the three games in which he rushed for at least 130 yards. The three contests came in a four-game span between Nov. 13 and Dec. 4.

Take away those three games, and Johnson rushed for 574 yards and scored one touchdown in the 13 games in which he "played."

Is he a very good player on a bad team? Or is he an overpaid former stud who received a huge contract and hasn't been the same since?

Well, in four weeks, we might be very much in the corner of the latter.

The Titans' schedule doesn't get much easier. In Week 3, they will play host to the Lions, followed by games at the Texans and Vikings. In Week 6, they will play the visiting Steelers.

By then, I might be wishing I had gone in a different direction at No. 12 overall. (Did I mention I selected the now-injured Matt Forte at No. 13? Talk about a back-to-back bonanza.)

If you have two quality running backs in addition to Johnson on your roster, now might be the time to sit C.J.

If you're like me and you loaded up at wide receiver and waited on selecting another running back because you thought you had two pretty good ones, including Johnson, you probably have to wait a while before benching C.J.

Either way, this is now an 18-game stretch in which Johnson has four TDs and four productive games (he rushed for 101 yards against the Browns in Week 4 of 2011).

This is no longer a trend.

It's a problem.News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3901129853692443808.post-55149355798311958572012-09-13T22:46:00.001-04:002012-09-20T21:20:07.023-04:00Fantasy football: C.J. Spiller's value, plus buy and sellIn a column that will be posted online Friday night, I wrote about the Madden cover jinx and the fear it will strike Calvin Johnson this season.

Being a creative soul (or a cliche-filled one; whatever works), I turned it into a game of buy and sell.

The Cliffs Notes version of the column: I'm buying the Madden Curse is strong enough to take out Megatron, that Robert Griffin III is an every-week fantasy starter and Reggie Wayne is again a very good fantasy receiver with Andrew Luck under center. What I'm selling (and, boy, do I have a deal for you): Alfred Morris is going to be a productive running back for fantasy hater Mike Shanahan this season, Kevin Ogletree is the next Laurent Robinson and Randy Moss will be a fantasy starter.

One more item to buy, and this one wasn't included in the column: C.J. Spiller, at least until Fred Jackson returns, is an elite fantasy running back.

Jackson is expected to miss at least three weeks with a right knee injury. One quarter into 2012, he was injured, and the ailment occurred after a 2011 season in which Jackson sat out the Bills' final six games with a broken right leg.

He told reporters he would be back in "four weeks ... without a doubt."

If you were smart (or lucky) enough to draft Spiller in the middle rounds, he's a must-start until Jackson returns -- and he might be a decent flex play even if Jackson is healthy.

With Jackson out for Buffalo's final six games last season, Spiller rushed for 446 yards and three touchdowns, and he caught 24 passes for 187 yards and two scores.

Combine those numbers with Spiller's stats from Sunday (169 yards rushing, one TD and two receptions for 25 yards) and you have the following: In seven games with Jackson out or injured for the majority of the contest (Week 1), Spiller has rushed for 615 yards and four scores and caught 26 passes for 212 yards and two TDs.

Six TDs in seven games. An average of 118 total yards per contest. A 16-game pace of 1,406 rushing yards, 59 receptions for 485 yards and 14 total TDs.

Those are elite running back numbers.

If you have Spiller, start him regardless of the matchup. If you have Spiller and not Jackson, try to acquire Jackson while his value is low. That way, you're covered if one (possibly Jackson again?) is injured.

A few more buy and sell items, express checkout style:

BUY: Patriots running back Stevan Ridley is a No. 2 fantasy back until Bill Belichick decides otherwise, and Falcons receiver Julio Jones could be the No. 2 receiver in all of fantasy -- or No. 1 if the dreaded Madden Curse strikes again.

SELL: Lions running back Kevin Smith (seriously, sell him now, before he gets hurt) and Jets wide receiver Stephen Hill (he was impressive in Week 1 and is worth a roster spot, but I wouldn't get too excited).News-Herald Blogshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10992850793901999785noreply@blogger.com0
